How to Make A Halloween Baby Hair Bow

With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to get baby some hair bows in the appropriate colors: black, orange, and maybe yellow or purple.
When you want to make a hair bow that it is Holiday Specific, there are a few guidelines to follow, and the top of the list is color.

1. Choose the right colors:

For Halloween, you want colors that are Halloween. Black and Orange are the most common, but you can also use yellow as an accent, and purple is a fun secondary Halloween color.
You can also use fall colors: burnt orange, yellow and dark yellow, and a pretty warm brown are good colors to choose from.

2. Use Interesting Ribbons and Trims:

There are a lot of great Halloween ribbons out there, given them a try! My favorite this year was the black satin ribbon with white spider webs. So cute! We also tried the “Trick or Treat” printed satin ribbons.
Here’s a rule of thumb – one printed ribbon to one slightly wider solid ribbon. Then stack or layer them. This makes a very cute bow.
If you want to get really creative, try using some tulle in your bows. The big weave looks spidery, and is fabulous for Halloween bows! Tulle can be a little challenging to work with, but pays off in dividends of cuteness!

3. Don’t forget to use accents and embellishments:

My favorite part of a great Halloween Hair Bow is definitely the accent (or embellishment.) To be specific, it’s the adorable flower or rhinestone on top of the hair bow. It’s this special little touch that takes a hair bow from “cute” to “very, very cute!!”
Check out the button displays for fun buttons. Or you can check out the Halloween section in your favorite craft store. Almost anything will work, so long as it:

* won’t be ruined by water
* can be securely fastened to the bow (so it won’t come off and end up in someone’s mouth)
* won’t scrape or hurt anyone if it gets pulled out of someone’s hair or off baby’s headband.

How Fun to Have a Headband

Hi Everyone!
